Sennheiser Momentum True Wireless 2 at a Glance
Sennheiser is a brand trusted in the world of in-ear headphones, and since the Momentum True Wireless 2 model was released, it is also in the world of wireless headphones (TWS). This gadget is even included in the ranking of the best Sennheiser headphones .
The Momentum True Wireless 2 headphones received a noise reduction function, similar to AirPods Pro and Sony WF-1000XM3, as well as improved battery life and compact design.
Cost Momentum True Wireless 2
Sennheiser Momentum True Wireless 2 costs $ 350. You can buy headphones in black already in April, and a white model will be released at the end of 2020.
This cost is much more expensive than the top-end Sony WF-1000XM3 wireless headphones for $ 230. To outperform Sony’s best-in-class headphones, the latest Sennheiser models will have to offer fantastic noise reduction and superior sound quality.
Momentum True Wireless 2 Headphone Design
The new wireless headphones (TWS) are very similar in appearance to their predecessor. Sennheiser Momentum True Wireless 2 has shiny round touch earbuds. The design of the metal coating looks sleek and stylish, but it does not look elaborate and ostentatious. Inside, the headphones look good, the charging contacts and LEDs are gold-plated, which indicates the quality of their pairing.
However, if you have small ears, you will find that because of the round shape of the body, the headphones are uncomfortable, as they are rather bulky. And after prolonged listening to music, the ears can swell and hurt a lot – they too cut into the skin.
Of course, not all users will face this problem, but it should be borne in mind that if you have small ears, the earbuds will be too large for you to use them with pleasure.
If the Sennheiser Momentum True Wireless 2 is perfect for you, you can use them as running headphones. Since they have IPX4 moisture protection, they are not afraid of moisture in the form of drops of sweat or rain.
Momentum True Wireless 2 Case Design
The charging case has a stylish look with a gray fabric finish. On the rear panel there is a USB-C charging connector and a button that, when pressed, tells how much battery power is left in the case, using a small LED:
up to 20%
up to 75%
up to 100%
Sennheiser reports that the Momentum True Wireless 2 is 2 mm smaller than the previous model, and thanks to 3 additional ear cushions you can choose the perfect fit.
Sennheiser Momentum True Wireless 2 has a longer battery life than its predecessor. For the first Momentum, battery life was a weak point. The Sennheiser Momentum battery lasted only 4 hours without recharging and 28 hours from the charging case.
Sennheiser solved this issue by increasing the battery life from a single charge of Momentum True Wireless 2 headphones to 7 hours, and from the device’s case 21 hours of charge. These are not the best indicators for TWS, but such features are a big step forward.
Is there noise reduction Momentum True Wireless 2?
Besides the best battery, the big advantage of Momentum True Wireless 2 is its active noise reduction feature.
By clicking on the touch-sensitive housing of the headphones, you can switch between turning on and off the noise canceling mode and transparency, which allows ambient sounds and noises to seep through the tabs. It is very convenient if you use headphones for work and it is important for you to hear what people around you say.
Connection and management
Headphones are connected to the smartphone thanks to the support of the new standard for wireless data transmission Bluetooth 5.1. During the review of Sennheiser Momentum True Wireless 2, a quick connection to the phone was observed, the sound quality during conversations is much better than expected. Although Sennheiser has always been famous for product quality.
Using touch controls to set up music playback, change volume and switch between noise reduction settings is pretty smooth.

How to get started with Sennheiser Momentum True Wireless 2?
The company’s website provides detailed instructions for working with the gadget:
Awakening and charging. Put the headphones in the case and connect the power.
How to wear? Insert the headphones and rotate them slightly, for a precise fit, use a set of ear pads.
Pairing. Hold the headphones for 3 seconds to pair with your smartphone via Bluetooth 5.1.
The highlight here is the active noise reduction mode. This feature allows listeners to get incredibly high-quality sound even in a noisy place. and this is combined with a transparent noise function that allows some ambient sounds to be heard by you. This feature is becoming an increasingly necessary feature of active noise canceling headphones.
Momentum True Wireless 2 also has 7mm dynamic drivers, a built-in equalizer, and Sennheiser’s Smart Control app. In the first Momentum model, they worked very clearly, and during the review, the new Sennheiser headphones also failed.
However, the main issue here is the cost. Due to additional features, including active noise reduction and longer battery life, Momentum True Wireless 2 will cost $ 100 more than the previous ones.
During the review of Momentum True Wireless 2, we were impressed with the sound quality of the headphones. Listening to rock music, the gadget skillfully processed hard synth bass, clean, smooth vocals and textured highs, which did not sound very sharp. When it came to low frequencies, it became clear how spectacular the sound was in these wireless in-ear headphones.
Note that these Momentum True Wireless 2 earphones cannot boast a wide sound stage, but they cannot be called closed sound either, since there really are a lot of clear details of music.
Momentum True Wireless 2 Review Summary
As for the sound quality, battery life and connection, we are very impressed with the Sennheiser Momentum True Wireless 2 headphones. The gadget was really breakthrough in comparison with the first Sennheiser model and can even compete with the Sony WF-1000XM3 in terms of sound quality (taking into account the cost, sure).
Although the design and fit of the model have also become better, but still they remain terribly uncomfortable for small ears – the whole problem is the size of the case. What features can be highlighted?
According to the Sennheiser Momentum True Wireless 2 review, these wireless headphones (TWS) have every chance of becoming one of the best among 2020 wireless headphones!
