JBL Tune 750BTNC review 2020: Best Bluetooth Wireless Headphones
Today we will conduct a review of the JBL Tune 750BTNC ($ 80) The Best Bluetooth Wireless Headphones- the long-awaited test of high-quality wireless Bluetooth headphones from a popular brand at an excellent price of 5500 rubles.
The JBL Tune 750BTNC headphones sound great, look good and fit into any style. They are reliable and easy to use. Of course, there is no waterproofing (moisture protection) and some other chips, but with such excellent quality and cost – this is a worthy option.
Advantages and disadvantages
- Convenient design. Headphones do not look pretentious and defiant, and simplicity gives them their own peculiarity and style.
- Good sound quality. This is exactly what users were so fond of JBL for, in the Tune 750BTNC they did not break the tradition of excellent sound. You will be pleasantly surprised!
- Strong active noise reduction. ANC operates at a fairly good level, allowing you to instantly isolate yourself from all extraneous noise that may prevent you from enjoying music.
- No moisture protection. This is a significant minus, which limits the work with headphones in an extreme environment. However, I am sure that when playing sports, drops of sweat will not be scary for the Tune 750BTNC.
- Average battery life. The battery life could be longer, in this regard, the headphones are much inferior to their closest competitors. For Bowers & Wilkins PX7, for example, the battery can last for 30 hours! During the JBL Tune 750BTNC review, the headphones lasted only 15 hours.
- No Bluetooth 5 support. Alas, the headphones did not receive support for Bluetooth 5.0 or 5.1. The manufacturer decided to leave version 4.2, which is clearly inferior in range of connection to the smartphone.

JBL Tune 750BTNC Short Review
JBL is a well-known brand in the world of wireless Bluetooth headphones, and it is justified. Regular users already know that the main advantage of gadgets is excellent sound quality at a nice price.
This is what distinguished the JBL Live 650BTNC, released last year, and now they are replaced by the new JBL Tune 750BTNC. This is a decent, upscale and budget model, which definitely needs attention.

JBL Tune 750BTNC review
During the review, the JBL Tune 750BTNC headphones were used in different circumstances: training, games, travel in transport and work. A comfortable fit and excellent sound quality caught my eye – it was they who made the gadget one of the best in its segment, especially for such a low cost.
Price and Availability
The retail price of the JBL Tune 750BTNC is $ 95. At the time of writing, 750BTNCs were selling for $ 80 in all major online stores, so you are likely to be able to find an even better offer for these already low-noise noise-canceling headphones.
JBL Tune 750BTNC Headphone Design

Design JBL Tune 750BTNC
The new model is available in four different colors:
- the black
- blue
- red
- white

Color JBL Tune 750BTNC
All color solutions look pretty stylish, and in the white version, the Tune 750BTNC looks elegant and is similar to the design of Apple headphones.

JBL Tune 750BTNC Design
The design of the JBL Tune 750BTNC will not look cheap compared to Apple’s Beats headphones. When you pick up the headphones, you will immediately feel how high-quality plastic is – it is solid and safe, it will be difficult to break. And while many plastic headphones are cheap and fragile, the JBL Tune 750BTNC comfortably sits on your ears. The plastic is smooth and looks more expensive in design than the headphones actually cost.
The only drawback of the appearance of the JBL Tune 750BTNC is the hinges, they did not show themselves very well when we twisted the ear cups and folded the earphones for storage.

JBL Tune 750BTNC Connector
The hinges look cheap, although they seem quite stable. We add that the headphones did not receive a case or carrying bag in the kit, so you need to take care of this in order to safely store them if you are going on a trip.
Gadget JBL Tune 750BTNC is well balanced, the weight is distributed conveniently. At the same time, it cannot be said that they are light, but you will not feel any pressure on the head. A comfortable fabric ear pads ensure that during long listening sessions there will be no pressure on the ears and they will not sweat.
Moisture protection
This is another drawback. There is no IP, IPX or IPXY moisture protection needed or other evidence that the JBL Tune 750BTNC is rain or splash resistant.

Water tightness of JBL Tune 750BTNC
But we believe that you should not worry. If accidental drops of rain fall on your gadget, nothing will happen to them, however, they are still designed for use in more “indoor” conditions.
Is the JBL Tune 750BTNC suitable for daily commuting or sports? 100% yes! But for running outdoors in the pouring rain, it is better to choose other headphones with moisture protection.
Design and control of the JBL Tune 750BTNC
All the necessary controls and connectors are located on the right earphone: the microUSB charging port at the top of the earphone (opens when the headphones are folded) and a 3.5 mm input for connecting an audio cable, which is a huge plus, because you can use the headphones in wired mode when the battery is low.

JBL Tune 750BTNC Wired
As you already understood, the JBL Tune 750BTNC does not have USB-C support, but, despite this, it charges quickly enough.
Under the right earphone are the control buttons:
- power button, which is also needed for a Bluetooth connection;
- button to disable / enable active noise reduction;
- volume control;
- to call Google Assistant or Siri.

Office JBL Tune 750BTNC
Buttons may seem old-fashioned and unstable, unlike competitor touch cases. However, the usual buttons on the Tune 750BTNC do their job perfectly, are not sunken and ergonomically made. Do you need more?
Battery life
JBL Tune 750BTNC does not support Bluetooth 5.0, manufacturers limited themselves to the standard Bluetooth 4.2. At first glance, there is no particular problem, but unlike headphones with Bluetooth 5 support, the 750BTNC has a shorter distance for connecting to a smartphone and holds a charge much weaker.
The JBL Tune 750BTNC has a battery life of 15 hours, but this time can be increased to 22 hours if you turn off Active Noise Reduction (ANC) – it is turned on by default.
The indicator is not bad, but for wireless headphones this is far from the best result. There are many headphones that have a battery life of more than 30 hours. And this is with activated noise reduction!

JBL Tune 750BTNC USB Port
It takes 2 hours to fully charge the JBL Tune 750BTNC battery. Such a long charge is due to the fact that there is no support for USB-C (headphones received only microUSB). Due to all these nuances, the price for a new brand gadget is so low.
Noise Reduction JBL Tune 750BTNC
I will say right away that the active noise reduction function in the JBL Tune 750BTNC is quite good. The gadget blocks a lot of external noise, which distinguishes it from other budget full-size headphones.

Noise Reduction JBL Tune 750BTNC
The presence of active noise reduction means that you will not hear anything other than your favorite tracks.
It cannot be configured through the application or controls – again, this is a sacrifice for a lower cost. However, this is not so important! After all, the main task of ANC is the noise reduction, with which the JBL Tune 750BTNC copes perfectly and does not miss absolutely any external sound.
Connecting the Tune 750BTNC
These wireless Bluetooth headphones offer multi-port connectivity. Simply put, you can connect to two devices at the same time and switch between them at any time. It is also possible to make hands-free calls with a microphone of excellent quality, especially since there is a button for calling the Google Assistant or Siri voice assistant.

JBL Tune 750BTNC Connection
application
Another minus is that there is no application support for the Tune 750BTNC. Because of this, there is no way to adjust the headphones, equalizer and more. This is a big omission on the part of the company. JBL did not even indicate that the gadget does not support the My JBL Headphone application – there is a possibility that software support will appear soon, but until then you will have to “live” without the application.
Sound quality
JBL Tune 750BTNC sound loud and very high quality. I tested the sound on Linkin Park tracks. These headphones showed themselves well: you literally pour in the songs, and the bass is perfectly matched and the whole scene in the music is heard.

Sound JBL Tune 750BTNC
And it’s nice to listen to any other tracks, the music sounds smooth and clean regardless of style. Even the high frequencies in the song “I will always love you” are well-crafted and sound delicious without any sharpness.
Alas, the JBL Tune 750BTNC lacks one key detail that more expensive headphones like to boast of. There is no support for aptX Low Latency, which does not allow a gap between video and sound.

JBL Tune 750BTNC Sound
Instead, the gadget uses the standard SBC codec, which audio speakers will not like and those who want to use headphones for games and movies – the company should take care of this. And this is not counting the fact that there is no application support, which means you will not be able to play with the equalizer settings. Nevertheless, the JBL Tune 750BTNC can be safely called universal headphones for sound, which will definitely suit most listeners who do not bother with the sound settings.
Review Summary
In conclusion of the JBL Tune 750BTNC review, we can say that the gadget is as good in sound quality and noise reduction as their competitors with more expensive price tags. But as soon as it comes to battery life, application support and the lack of adaptive noise reduction, the difference with similar models from other brands becomes apparent.

JBL Tune 750BTNC Review
Despite these shortcomings, the JBL Tune 750BTNC is an excellent universal model. The gadget sounds good, comfortable, well suppresses extraneous noise. Even if they do not have adaptive noise reduction, as, for example, in the Sony WH-1000XM3.
What can I say, if most other wireless Bluetooth headphones will cost 2 times more than the Tune 750BTNC and at the same time have the same functionality. In this case, the choice is obvious.
Is it worth buying? According to the results of a review of JBL Tune 750BTNC headphones, I declare that this is an excellent gadget with good sound and overall development quality at a great price. They definitely will not disappoint you, so you can safely buy!
